Our Aka-Suspensions are traditional diamond suspensions to be used together with lubricant.
Aka-Poly and Aka-Mono offer a very high concentration of 20 ct/liter - probably higher than any other product on the market. If you require very fast preparation, you should choose Aka-Poly+ or Aka-Mono+ with an even higher concentration. Containing 40 ct/liter, the preparation time can be reduced with up to 50%.
Both types of diamond suspension can be used with any of our lubricants for the preparation of all kinds of materials. The suspensions will not settle and the liquid itself is naturally environmentally friendly. That means that no special care has to be taken when disposing of the suspensions during or after the preparation.
When you are preparing water sensitive materials, Aka-Poly WF is your choice. Based on glycol, this diamond suspension contains less than 0.1% water and as it is not oil-based, samples are easy to clean after the preparation (steps).

How do I choose the correct combination of diamond suspension and lubricant?
The lubricant is usually selected depending on the preparation step and on the material to be prepared. For hard materials and fine grinding or coarse polishing steps a thin, low viscosity lubricant like Aka-Lube Clear+, Aka-Lube Blue or Aka-Lube Green is used to achieve high removal rates and short preparation times. For fine polishing steps and soft materials Aka-Lube Yellow or Aka-Lube Red is used to avoid deep scratches. When you prepare water sensitive materials Aka-Lube Blue or Aka-Lube Clear is the correct choice.
