Diamond Products
We offer one of the largest ranges of diamond products, high-quality 2-in-1 diamond suspensions, a carefully adjusted mix of diamond suspension and lubricant, traditional diamond suspensions, diamond sticks, diamond pastes and diamond sprays. All our diamond products are developed and produced at our facilities in Denmark, ensuring the best performing products at an affordable price.
We carefully select diamonds with uniform geometry and narrow tolerances and use these to manufacture products with a very high diamond concentration. Contrary to competitive products, we use the same concentration of diamonds in ct/l (carat/liter) independent of the grain size in all our diamond products. How many ct/l depends on the specific diamond product. This will either give you higher removal rates and shorter preparation times or allow you to reduce dosing and thus your cost.
Consequently, you will always obtain reproducible results with uniform material removal and excellent surface finish. Both diamond type, concentration and grain size distribution are stated on the labels to allow you to select the product that is best suited for your preparation requirements and to compare with competitors. All products come in sizes from 15-1 µm and for specific products smaller grain sizes, even down to 0.05 µm/50 nm are available.

Most of our products are available with either poly- or monocrystalline diamonds. Monocrystalline diamonds are typically less expensive, and more blocky in shape and used for routine examinations. Polycrystalline diamonds have numerous fine cutting edges and therefore, generally, leave a finer scratch pattern while at the same time provide a higher removal rate for a given size compared to monocrystalline diamonds. As polycrystalline diamonds are more expensive they are mostly used for more demanding applications where short preparation times and excellent results are very important.
We offer both products to satisfy the different requirements to sample preparation that exist among our customers.

FAQ:
What is the difference between mono- and polycrystalline diamonds?
What is the difference between mono- and polycrystalline diamonds?
As the name says, monocrystalline diamonds consist of one single crystal, whereas polycrystalline diamonds consist of many crystals. Therefore, monocrystalline diamond products are usually white, unless coloured and polycrystalline products are dark grey to black, depending on the grain size and amount of diamonds in the product. Polycrystalline diamonds will eventually break down into smaller particles with still sharp cutting edges. Therefore, they will be more efficient than monocrystalline diamonds and continue to remove material. Polycrystalline diamonds are usually used for harder materials and the highest requirements in metallography. Monocrystalline diamonds are often used for softer materials that do not wear the diamonds so fast.
Are all dark diamond products based on polycrystalline diamonds?
No, they are not. You can be sure that a white diamond product is based on monocrystalline diamonds but you can easily add black colour to e.g. a white suspension and make it look “polycrystalline”. The only way you can be sure about the contents is when the manufacturer specifies diamond type etc. on his products.
On all our diamond products we not only specify the diamond type, but also the diamond concentration and the grain size distribution.
