To us cold embedding is simple. We concentrate our efforts solely on epoxy.
Choosing epoxy implies perfect adhesion, low shrinkage and cured embedding without any environmental risks.
This makes epoxy ideal for both routine work and difficult specimens like plasma spray coatings or porous corrosion surfaces.
We offer resin and hardener separate not as a kit. This way adding a new feature is just a matter of buying another hardener.
Aka-Resin
Clear epoxy resin. Low viscosity and low surface tension. Ideal for all types of specimens.
Aka-Cure, Quick
Cures in 30 min. @80°C. Outstanding mechanical and chemical properties, approaching warm embedding. Pre-curing at room temperature without increase in temperature makes it ideal for impregnation and embedding of large specimens.
Aka-Cure, Slow
Cures in 8 - 24 hours @20°C. Long pot-life and low peak temperature makes it suitable for both impregnation and heat sensitive specimens.
